Más de 300 colibríes diariamente se dan cita en el paraíso de los colibríes, finca Alejandría ubicada cerca del kilómetro 18, en la vía al mar.
“Este es un trabajo que lleva 5 años, empezamos por gusto a alimentarlos y poco a poco hemos visto como esta comunidad de amigos (colibríes y otras aves) necesitan de protección y cuidado ellos se ganaron un lugar en el corazón, son frágiles y se convirtió en nuestra tarea y deber”
Raul un argentino que vive en este paraíso dice, que Mapalina, organización medioambiental, que opera en el sector le han brindado acompañamiento, guía e intercambiado información de mucho interés.
“Ellos realizaron el conteo de especies en la finca y hay en total 28 especies de colibríes, entre ellas está el ‘Zumbador’ que es la tercera especie más pequeña del mundo porque mide entre pico y cola 5 centímetros, Amazilias, Cola de raqueta, Ermitaño etc.
Además hicieron conteo y hay 103 especies de aves que nos visitan y se aprecian en las caminatas ecológicas que realizamos
El recorrido por la finca La Alejandría es interesante, dispuesto para quienes deseen vivir una experiencia diferente, es divertirse con una paleta de colores que se forma con la danza de los colibríes.
Alrededor de la casa se han puesto algunos lugares para que las aves puedan descansar y alimentarse.
A lo largo del trayecto también se encuentran espacios en donde diariamente se les coloca alimento, el banano y mango se convierten en los frutos mas apetecidos.
Que debes saber sobre Colibríes
Estas aves consumen mensualmente 160 kilos de azúcar, 90 bananos diarios, 80 kilos de cuchuco mensual, por eso cuando vienes a el paraíso de los colibríes debes de hacer una donación de 15 mil pesos por persona.
Aquí te recomiendan traer prendas cómodas y un abrigo. puesto que es una zona en la que se disfruta de la neblina, el paramillo y en algunas ocasiones de lluvia.
Debes de reservar, porque los cupos son limitados. Si deseas hacer la caminata ecológica debes de disponer de mínimo tres horas para realizar el recorrido.
Esta caminata tiene un costo adicional y lleva el acompañamiento de un guía que va contando sobre las especies, la variedad de orquídeas y otras plantas que se encuentran en el sector.
Aquí te ofrecen la posibilidad de desayunar, almorzar o tardear.
